Johnnie Walker Blue Label was created to reflect the style of whiskies of the early 19th century, it is created using the rarest casks in House of Walker, the largest in the world. The casks are hand selected and set aside for their exceptional quality, character and flavour while retaining the signature smokiness of Johnnie Walker whiskies.
This particular edition features a box and bottle specially designed by Alfred Dunhill’s company. Like the original Johnnie Walker (who blended whisky to gain consistency at a time when there was precious little in the whisky market), Alfred Dunhill was something of a visionary. A tobacconist by trade, he invented a special pipe that allowed motorists to smoke whilst driving. He later opened up a shop selling bespoke tobacco blends and goods for the discerning gentleman. Many credit him with the creation of the modern “luxury goods” market. Johnnie Walker Blue can certainly be considered a luxury good, and this bottle perhaps the most luxury edition of all, delightfully decadent and a true treat for any Johnnie Walker fan.
